New Works For Radio

Two new works: first, “6AM Eternal” by Ruth Hughes, a recent BA graduate of LCC's Sound Arts and Design, is a hybrid, post-rave DJ mix using dub-plates cut with field recordings taken by the artist at free parties around London 2017-19. As an improvised composition of sounds, the performance allows for a deconstruction of the sonic narrative of contemporary rave culture, utilising the physical properties of vinyl in a sculptural format. Then at midnight, "The Bewitching" is a documentary that explores witchcraft and satanic culture. It focuses on people who practice Wicca and paganism, exploring their own personal accounts, and features interviews with theoreticians who place paganism in a historic and cultural context. Produced by Connor Clark, a recent graduate of the University of Sussex with BA in Media Practice. Then two old items (sorry): Sketch for Overheard by the Resonance Radio Orchestra; and On The Mountain, read by Bob Cheevers.
