This week: the National Pensioners Convention (NPC) shares its open letter signed with others to the UK government calling for a Commissioner for Older People and Ageing in England. Independent Age takes up the campaign calling for the Commissioner, explaining a voice for later life is essential to make sure older people get the support they need. Plus, the NPC calls for urgent action in response to the "looming crisis" for households on old-style electricity meters with the replacement programme showing signs of failing. Our musical tribute is to Clodagh Rodgers who was a Northern Irish singer best known for her 1971 UK Eurovision Song Contest entry and hit single, "Jack in the Box".
