Wednesday 3rd September

12:00am - 11:59pm

The Dream

A 24/7 live broadcast that's part of The Spell or The Dream, a new project by resident Somerset House Studios artist Tai Shani. The Dream includes programmes from the Resonance FM archive alongside new commissions and archival work by artists, writers, musicians, academics, economists, activists and thinkers, exploring dreaming as a radical act of imagination. At the heart of the project is The Spell, a huge new sculpture taking over the Somerset House courtyard in London: a dreaming figure suspended in time, holding space for crisis, resistance and renewal.

Midnight to 9am: Deep Dream. Echoing the introspective and uncanny world of dreamscapes with audiobooks and music playing overnight.

9am-7pm: Day Dream. Archives of artists, musicians and radio stations playing a selection of radio documentaries, sound works, plays, music playlists and conversations.

7pm: Cécile B. Evans. A new radio adaptation of French surrealist Antonin Artaud's 'A Spurt of Blood'.

8pm: Adelita Husni Bey reads from the radical poetry of Ferruccio Brugnaro, an Italian poet and factory worker in a chemical plant in the 1970s, with an urgent call to arms for activism and community.

9pm: A call to wake from apathy in a dream mix by Hannah Catherine Jones.

10pm: Deep Dream. Echoing the introspective and uncanny world of dreamscapes with audiobooks and music playing overnight.
