Late Lunch with Out to Lunch

[Repeated from Wednesday 2pm.] Polemic, politics, mouth jazz and spontaneous music with Ben Watson. This week: Ammas (the Late Lunch house band) did not convene to improvise music for this broadcast, so Ben resorts to the "xenochronic" method of music production he developed during UK Covid Lockdown. Kicking off with A. L. Lloyd's "Jug of This" from 1956 (almost a religious testament for the Ammas crew), this hour comprises "Tulip Apocalypse", an ode to the pleasures of orality, "Widow Leaving the Cheyenne Border" - actual Traditional Music achieved the week before by master guitarist John Roy in Sheffield - and "Fit to Feat his Last Crop", a strangely Swinburnesque performance by Out To Lunch. And watch out Nick Lubran's killer wooden flute on Ammas's "Strum Some Immersion Time".
