12:00am - 12:00am

Radio Art Zone

With our regular broadcasters on their summer holidays, we go live to the Radio Art Zone, the 100-day radio art festival curated by Knut Aufermann and Sarah Washington realised as part of Esch2022, European Capital of Culture. Today, till 11am: Lucinda Guy's Skylark. Skylark is a full time FM radio station, broadcasting across Dartmoor National Park in South West England. It has no programmes, but plays a continuous, generated piece of local voices and noises. For Radio Art Zone Lucinda provides a different mix, pulling together clips from our archive that take listeners everywhere into the heart of our wild moorlands, with imposing granite tors, mythology, grazing ponies, pixies and peat bogs. At 11am we join the daily À table! till 1pm, when a new 22 hour show starts: Shortwave Collective – Constellations of Listening. At the height of the 2022 Perseids meteor shower, Shortwave Collective cycle through group and solo listening experiences from Austria, France, Greece, Germany, the UK and US, searching live for radio reception with Open Wave-Receivers, scanning VHF, VLF, SDR, EM and walkie-talkie signals during 'grey-line' times of dusk and dawn.
