12:00am - 12:00am

Radio Art Zone

With our regular broadcasters on their summer holidays, we go live to the Radio Art Zone, the 100-day radio art festival curated by Knut Aufermann and Sarah Washington realised as part of Esch2022, European Capital of Culture. Today, till 11am: Jasmina Al-Qaisi's Hart Servis. For a duration of 22 hours, the multi-office Hart Servis broadcasts live and will be open for participation somewhere in the city of Esch. From behind a counter, Jasmina will interact with passers-by as her different self-assigned professions: a walking scientist, a self entitled self entitlement office, a bites expert, an archivist of regrets, schnelle musikalische hilfe worker and, the most recently added to her palmares of services, watching bird watchers. At 11am we join the daily À table! till 1pm, when a new 22 hour show starts: Mega Mingiedi + Jaguar Ntumi – Radio Bala-Bala. Visual artists Mega Mingiedi and Jaguar Ntumi invite the people of Kinshasa and other participants to talk about the city, their experiences and their lives, transforming these sound narratives, and taking us out of the realm of reality into radio art that supports the idea of being free.
