With our February Fundraiser almost complete, Resonance is offering a new way for you, our listeners, to get involved and help us raise essential funds. Please join us in person to “Record Your Voice For Resonance” before 31 March 2024.
Resonance been commissioned to supply short, anonymised recordings of human voices for the purposes of machine learning - to help machines tell the difference between ‘clean’ audio and audio with background noise.
Our 20 minute recording sessions involve reading a series of sentences from a screen. All funds raised from this time-limited project will be reinvested into the radio station’s charitable activities.
The target is to recruit up to 900 volunteers before 31 March to visit our brand new HQ on Risborough Street, London (close to Waterloo Station and Southwark Tube), meet the team and record a session to help support London’s award-winning community radio station for the arts & culture - helping to significantly boost the future sustainability of “the Best Radio Station in London” (The Guardian) and keep our two 24/7 radio stations on-air through April 2024.
- Book a slot to visit our studio in SE1 and record a 20 minute session.
- Ask your friends to do the same. Book back to back slots and come in together.
- Help us spread the word in any way that you can.
